Outstanding Member Activity

Our very own Zain Abidin has taken it upon himself to promote our hobby by founding a Model Aviation Club at Willowbrook High School. The Club currently has about 10 members and has asked that S.O.A.R. participate in guiding their activities and supervise their events. Al's Hobby has extended an educational discount to the Club for their supplies and I will be recruiting from S.O.A.R. Members to volunteer as Modeling Mentors. They plan to host Indoor Flying events in the Willowbrook HS gymnasium to raise donations for the Club. I will be discussing these developments at the upcoming S.O.A.R meeting, and will be posting details as they become available.
