Hi All,
The 2008 Soaring Season is approaching rapidly. Are you ready?
I made my first trip to the field today for some test flights, and on the drive out lots of nagging questions came to mind...
* Do I have all of my charging equipment?
* Do I have all the right tools?
* Are all of the right plane parts in my wing bag?
* What am I trying to accomplish on this outing?
Fortunately I had everything that I needed and my trim flights went well. I was able to confirm my setup and make a few of the adjustments that I was looking for.
Now is the time to clean out your toolbox, cycle your batteries, and make a few practice runs at packing up all of your equipment for transport to the field. One of the most important keys to soaring success is preparedness, so take some time while the weather is bad to practice packing for the field. If you are prepared when you arrive, your practice sessions will be much more productive.
